This website is operated by CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK, a division of CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK B.V. (subsidiary of CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V.). CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. and our affiliates offer you our products and services under the following Terms and Conditions. You must please read the Terms and Conditions before using our website for bookings. By making a reservation, you hereby accept the Terms and Conditions. You should not use the website in any way if you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions.
Once you have made your reservation, the payment will be deducted from your credit card and you will receive email confirmation of the transaction from us. We accept the following debit or credit cards: VISA and MasterCard. Your payment will be to CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. The payment will be in the currency selected when you make the booking and will appear on your bill as CARIBBEANTRAVELNETWORK. Customers with bank accounts outside of Europe could be subject to additional charges for these transactions. Consult your bank for more information.
If you consider that the services offered don’t comply with the agreement between yourself and CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK, or in the case of objections or situations which prevent the normal development of services, you must immediately notify our local representative or our main office in Havana. Our contact details are available in the documents and reservation confirmation messages. The absence of this immediate notification will limit CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK in the search for a resolution. However, if after having contacted our local representative or our central Havana office, a resolution is not found, you may make a written complaint within 7 days following the end of the service in question. The ability to secure a conclusion to the matter will depend on the definitions and terms of the service provider (hotels, car rental agencies, airlines, etc)
Refunds will only be made back to the credit card used for your reservation. If for some reason the refund must be made by bank transfer, we will deduct any bank charges associated with this transfer from the refund owed to you. Our aim is to organize the refund within 24 hours after having offered you a resolution to your claim.
Although we strive to guarantee the availability of reserved services, on occasion, errors may occur. Once we realize there is an error, we will do all that is reasonably possible to inform you during the 48 hours before your reservation begins. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation and reimburse you the total amount paid, at no extra charge to you.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS FOR FLIGHT RESERVATIONS
The below outlines the specific conditions for flight reservations organized by CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK.
Please bear in mind that airfares are not guaranteed until payment is made and accepted by CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. The prices shown are subject to change, and will be reconfirmed when your reservation is complete.
- For flights booked via our connection to the Global Distribution System (for example, Amadeus), the fare and taxes will be reconfirmed when the electronic tickets are issued. On some occasions, the fare could exceed the price already stated, and you will be requested to confirm your acceptance of the new price. You have the right to reject the higher price and, on rejection, CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. will reimburse 100% of your monies.
- Besides the fares and taxes, additional administration charges may be made. These will be shown during the online reservation process.
Policy concerning Children
(The ages referred to below are valid for the date of the flight departure)
The fare for infants applies to those children up to 1 year and 11 months in age.
The fare for children applies to those aged between 2 and 11.
Children aged 12 or above must be booked in as adults.
Unaccompanied minors aged 5 to 11, and unaccompanied children aged 12 must be booked in as adults.
In some cases, departure taxes from some countries are applied to tickets; these departure taxes are not refundable.
Within 48 hours of making your reservation (Monday to Friday from 9am-5.30pm GMT-05.00) you will receive an electronic ticket or a document of confirmation from the supplier, which you must print and show at check-in for your flight, along with the rest of the documents you need for your trip (passport, visa, etc)
On rare occasions, it will not be possible to issue tickets for reserved flights due to the imposed restrictions by certain airlines, in which case we will contact you immediately and reimburse your total monies paid.
Flight schedules are subject to change by airlines due to possible operational problems or adverse climate conditions. You must reconfirm your flight with CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK within 48 hours of your departure, especially with domestic and regional flights. In addition, ensure that we can contact you by phone or by email using the information provided by you during the booking process, so that our employees can tell you about possible changes to your flights. The inability to contact you via contact details supplied by you, exonerates CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK from any responsibility.
We earnestly recommend that our customers do not book domestic or regional flights on the day they need to connect with an international flight. There are possibilities of losing an international flight by way of having to change airports, departure times, or the cancellation of your domestic or regional flights. In this case, the cost of purchasing an additional ticket will be the responsibility of the passenger.
Airline Regulations and Restrictions
When you buy your flight you express agreement with the regulations and/or specific restrictions of the airline that are applicable to your flight or ticket. You must read these regulations and/or restrictions during the reservation process, and before making payment online.
The following regulations and restrictions apply to the majority of cases:
* The majority of flight prices cannot be reimbursed.
* Whether you change your flight reservation, cancel your flight or do not turn up to take your flight (no-show), additional charges may be imposed.
* Tickets are not transferable.
* The regulations and restrictions are imposed by the airlines and maybe subject to change.
* In case of flight cancellation, alternatives will be offered by the airline subject to its rules and conditions. `
CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK has to respect the rules and conditions of the airline (or flight consolidator). We will communicate with the airline (or flight consolidator) on your behalf but we do not offer services, alternatives, and reimbursements, which are not offered by the airline themselves (or flight consolidator).
We especially recommend that you do not reserve domestic flights for the same day that you must connect with an international flight.
Once you have completed your reservation, payment will be charged to your credit card and you will receive our email confirmation. Your payment will be to CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. The payment will be deducted in the money selected on the website and the name CARIBBEANTRAVELNETWORK will appear on your bill.
Surcharges, in respect to cancellation, depend on the cancellation policy of the airline and the specific fare tariff associated with your flight or ticket.
You must remember:
* The majority of fares cannot be reimbursed
* Tickets are not transferable.
As well as the penalties established by the airline, whatever cancellation or modification to your reservation carries an administration charge of up to US$50 (or the equivalent in the currency you paid in).
We strive to process reimbursements within 72 hours of receiving your request for reimbursement and the information required to do so. However, for flights reserved on our systems which are connected to the Global Distribution Systems (such as Amadeus), once the tickets are issued, reimbursements maybe delayed by up to four weeks due to the fact that payments and reimbursements are processed through the Billing & Settlement Plan (BSP) of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and in some cases, may be delayed even further.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS RELATED TO HOTEL RESERVATIONS
Below you will find specific conditions related to hotel reservations managed by CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK.
Accommodation and Prices
Hotels will offer accommodation to the person whose name appears in the reservation (the “principal traveller”) and to the exact number of accompanying persons included in the reservation for each room. The principal traveller must be present during the check-in, and all the guests must present a valid passport.
Rooms are generally available from 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is no later than noon (midday), on the day of departure.
Normally, rooms feature one or two beds. Additional beds cannot be guaranteed, therefore the maximum occupancy implies that guests will share the available beds, unless the hotel in question is able to offer additional beds on check-in.
All the ages of the guests that are referred to in the reservation are valid for the check-in dates or the beginning of a service.
Policy regarding children
Children who are 1 year and 11 months old at the time of the start of the service are not charged in hotels. Cots must be requested directly from the hotel, and carry an extra charge. In some hotels, there are no cots available, and infants must share a bed with parents/guardians.
Prices for children will be confirmed during the online reservation process.
Normally, child discounts apply for those children aged between 2 and 11 years’ old, and only when they share the room with two adults.
The majority of the rooms do not have space for an additional bed for children, and therefore, the maximum capacity is one adult and one child.
Children aged between 2 and 11 years of age, who share a room with one adult, must be listed in the reservation as adults.
Children of 12 or more years of age, must be listed in the reservation as adults.
Payment and Cancellation policy
The following cancellation policy applies once you have paid for your reservation:
- Special Terms of cancellation apply for stays during December 22 to January 4:
- If you cancel your reservation 31 days before your planned arrival date we will reimburse you with the total sum of monies paid, less an administrative charge equivalent to 3% of this sum; a minimum fee of 15 euros applies. If you cancel your reservation between 30 and 15 days before your planned arrival date, we will reimburse you with 50% of the total monies paid. If you cancel your reservation within the 14 days before your planned arrival date, there is no reimbursement: The penalty is 100%.
- During the rest of the year, the following terms apply:
- If you cancel more than 15 days prior to your check-in date,we will reimburse you 100% of the monies paid less an administrative charge equivalent to 3% of this sum; a minimum fee of 15 euros applies.
- If you cancel your reservation between 15 and 4 days prior to your planned arrival date, we will reimburse you with 50% of the total monies paid.
- If you cancel your reservation within 3 days prior to your check-in date, or if you do not check-in on your arrival date (a no show), we will not reimburse any money: the penalty is 100%.
- Unforeseen departures that have not been previously negotiated with the hotel will be penalized by charging 100% of the amount paid for that service.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS CONCERNING CAR HIRE
Below you will find the specific conditions associated with vehicle hire operated by CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK
Please bear in mind that prices are not guaranteed until the payment is made and accepted by CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. The prices shown are subject to changes but will be confirmed during the reservation process. Besides the price of the rental, surcharges may be applied for our reservation services. All the charges will be shown during the reservation process.
In the case of making a claim, it will be binding, in addition to meeting the conditions set out in the general Terms and Conditions, to present the lease document signed by the customer when collecting the car.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
The payment is only for the vehicle hire. You must pay directly to the car hire company, at the moment of collecting the vehicle, the following charges: insurance (liability waiver), fuel in the tank, additional driver (if you wish to pay for this service), and guarantee deposit (according to the car hire company terms).
- If you cancel the reservation within 15 days prior to the beginning of the service, the penalty cost is one day of rental. That is to say that we will reimburse you the total monies paid minus the value of one day’s vehicle rental.
- If you cancel the reservation from within 17 hours prior to the start of the first day of the rental service or, in case of a ‘no-show’ (failure to turn up on the day and at the appointed hour to collect the vehicle), the penalty is equivalent to two days’ vehicle hire. That is to say that we will reimburse you all the monies paid minus the equivalent of two days’ vehicle hire.- If you drop off the car before the reserved drop off date, the penalty is equivalent to 100% of the amount paid for car rental.
- If you drop off the car before the reserved drop off date, the penalty is equivalent to 100% of the amount paid for car rental.
In addition to our Confirmation Email sent at the end of the reservation and payment process, on occasion, and depending on the car hire company, you will receive an electronic voucher from the provider. Both documents must be printed and presented to the car hire company on collection of the vehicle. CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. and its associates do not accept any responsibility for delays or problems during the collection of the vehicle, if you do not present these documents to the supplier.
The appointed car driver must have a driving license, been driving for at least two years and be more than 21 years old.
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH EXCURSIONS
Once you have made your reservation, cancellation charges will be applied. The cancellation fee amount depends on the timing of the cancellation and is determined by the execution supplier. The policy is listed in the descriptions of each excursion.
Payment in advance must be made for the excursions and the prices are listed in EUR, CAD, GBP, AUD and JPY. At your request, and through our Website, our travel consultants can assist you with offering alternative forms of payment: credit cards (VISA, MasterCard), Maestro debit cards (UK), ideal online banking (the Low Countries), or Giropay (Germany). The payment is made in the currency selected. Your payment is to CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N. V. and your bill will state: CARIBBEANTRAVELNETWORK. Payment by bank transfer is also possible.
For the few publicized excursions that require payment in Cuba, the prices will be listed in Cuban Convertible Pesos (CUC) and payment must be made in CUC in cash to our CUBA TRAVEL NETWORK representatives in the destination.
*The return of administrative fees or credit card fees will not be reimbursed.

Children of 12 or more years of age, must be listed in the reservation as adults. Infant cots must be requested directly from the hotel, and carry an extra charge. In some hotels, there are no cots available, and infants must share a bed with parents/guardians. Cancellation terms and conditions during the rest of the year: • Cancellation of reservation up until 16 days before arrival date: full reimbursement of total paid amount, minus an administrative charge equivalent to 3% of this sum; a minimum fee of 15 euros applies. • Cancellation of reservation between 15 and 4 days before arrival date: 50% reimbursement of total paid amount. • Cancellation of reservation within 3 days before arrival date and no-show: no reimbursement, the penalty is 100%. Premature departure: If you prematurely discontinue the tour and/or do not make use of (some) elements that are included in the travel package or tour (e.g. transfers, meals, excursions, hotel nights), there will be no reimbursement.
You agree to be subject to the following obligations, including and without limitation:
You assume financial responsibility for all the transactions made in your name or your account.
For any purchase, you must be at least 18 years’ old and to be able to make the purchase for personal use and have the legal capacity to make the transaction.
You guarantee that all the information you submit is true and exact.
To submit incorrect credit card information, or an incorrect billing address for credit cards, or an incorrect amount to be debited could result in delays in the sending of your travel documents and an increase in price. Please ensure that the information you submit corresponds to that which appears on your bill from your credit card. We also reserve the right to cancel your reservation after your transmission if the payment is not forthcoming, or if you submit incorrect information about the ownership of the card.
You may not modify, copy, transmit, distribute, sell, exhibit, sublicense, nor reproduce the website nor its contents in any way, except in case of the need to make copies for your personal use, and without commercial intent.
The information and/or prices that are shown on the website are updated on occasion, and therefore, may have varied by the time you come to make your reservation for your vacation, or make your plans. Unfortunately, although we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of all this information and prices, sometimes errors are made. However, you must ensure that you revise all details of your vacation or trip that you select (including the prices) at the moment of making the reservation.
The website is offered in the state and availability at the moment of access. We do not accept any responsibility related to your ability to access or use the website in any moment, nor in the case of any interruption to your access or use, nor in any errors made when making a transaction. RULES AND RESTRICTIONS OF SUPPLIERS
We operate both as an intermediary agency and as a supplier. This means that where we act as an intermediary agency we are a public agent for third party suppliers such as tour operators, hotels, car rental companies, carriers, airlines etc. This means that the contract for the product is between you and the supplier. However, we assume liability to you, if we have been negligent, we have misrepresented important information, or have been in breach of any other relevant law.
ESTABLISHMENT OF CONTRACT
There will be no contract between you and CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. nor its affiliates, for the sale made to you of any product unless CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. accepts your reservation via email confirming your reservation and communicates to you a unique confirmation code. Acceptance will be deemed complete and will be deemed effectively communicated to you, for all purposes, at the time that CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. sends you the email, regardless of whether you receive it or not.
ACCURACY OF INFORMATION
CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. and its suppliers have taken reasonable care to ensure that the content of the Website, including all hotels, flights, airlines, vehicle rental information and other information is accurate. CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. publishes such information in good faith. No warranties or promises are made and/or statements of any kind, either express or implied, regarding the accuracy of any information contained in this site or its nature, quality, reliability, or any other service offered by us or our name, and we do not undertake to update this information. You use this Site at your own risk. All general information provided by this site is provided for guidance purposes only and is subject to change at any time. The fulfillment of this agreement by CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. is subject to existing laws. Nothing contained in this agreement/text abolishes the rights of CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. to comply with legal requirements or requirements relating to your use of this website or information provided to or collected by, CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. with respect to your use of this site.
If a court of competent jurisdiction determines that any provision of this agreement/text is invalid or unenforceable as provided by applicable law, the remaining provisions of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect. Any provision of this agreement is deemed void or unenforceable as required by applicable law, including but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, and will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision to effect that comes closest to the intent of the original provision.
If, as a result of Force Majeure, CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. is obliged to curtail, alter or cancel a reservation and/or any of the services agreed, the partner and/or customer will not be entitled to claim compensation for any losses caused by the above restriction, alteration or cancellation. The term "Force Majeure" includes, but is not limited to, Acts of God, natural disasters, fire and any other destruction of any accommodation booked, riots, acts of civil or international war, natural disasters, fires, exercise of municipal authority, legislative authority, military authority or otherwise, strikes, industrial action or any other reason beyond the control of CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions of Use at any time. This agreement cannot be modified in any way without prior consultation and agreement with CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V.
These Terms and Conditions of Use contain the entire agreement between CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. and the Customer and replace any prior understanding or agreements (whether oral or written) on the subject, and cannot be corrected or modified unless expressly agreed in writing with CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V.
You agree to defend and indemnify CARIBBEAN TRAVEL NETWORK N.V. and its affiliates and/or their respective suppliers and any of its officers, directors, employees and agents, from and against any claims, causes of action, demands, judgments, losses, damages, fines, penalties or other costs or expenses of any kind or nature, including, but not limited to, reasonable legal and accounting fees, taxes by third parties due to your breach of this agreement or the documents referenced herein; your violation of any law or the rights of third parties; or your use of this website.
The information, products and services on this Website may have inaccuracies or typographical errors.
